Downtown Annapolis Playground

This playground is located on Newman Street in downtown Annapolis, Maryland.  It is one of the best playgrounds in Annapolis; as Anne Arundel County is not known for their playgrounds or libraries.

The playground has a lot of features, including a smaller toddler area with small slides and less height:

A large play area with a rock climbing wall, racing slides, and various climbing structures:

A ramp so that children in wheelchairs can play:

Two sets of swings:

A big slide for older children:

And various stepping stones and stairs:

The playground elements are natural colors.  While it is nothing spectacular, it is a decent playground with nice slides and something for everyone, including children in wheelchairs, toddlers and young children, and also older children.  There are some metal benches for adults to sit on.

Nearby is the Annapolis Harbour and downtown Annapolis area, where children can look at boats and walk up and down the historical streets.  Therefore, I would say that it is worth the trip if you are traveling one or two hours, as you could incorporate the playground into a day trip to Annapolis.
